David Gianulias is a Humanitarian and Businessman
David Gianulias is a successful businessman in Newport Beach, California. He is also a caring humanitarian who works hard to better his community and the world. He comes from a long line of successful businessmen and philanthropists, and works hard to live up to the legacy that his grandparents and parents created. David Gianulias is the grandson of Charles and Nora Hester. Charles Hester was one of the original homebuilders in Orange County, and built more than 60,000 homes. He and his wife, Nora, were also humanitarians who gave generously to the Hoag Memorial Hospital in California. In 2014, they were honored by having the base lobby and reception area within the new Hoag Memorial Hospital Tower named for them. David Gianulias has worked hard to follow in his family’s footsteps. He began his business career early, and is a successful entrepreneur. During the early 1990s, he worked as a band manager and a nightclub promoter. In 1995, he decided to follow in his family’s footsteps and entered the real estate industry. He created Cal Star Development. This company used the abundance of foreclosures in the real estate market to obtain properties at a low cost. The company then worked with HUD and nonprofit organizations to create “The American Dream” program, which created opportunities for first time home buyers in the area. In 1996, Gianulias joined the homebuilding division of G Companies and began working for his family’s business. He created the Silver Oaks Community, and added to the numerous homes that his grandfather built during his career. David Gianulias did not just follow his grandfather’s footsteps into business, but also into philanthropic work. His grandfather helped build the Hoag Memorial Hospital and Gianulias’ is continuing his family’s involvement with the hospital. He has made donations to the Pretend City Children’s Museum as well. Like his grandparents and his mother, he is also involved with the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), and every year he presents the top CHOC supporter with the Charley Hester Award. His grandparents and his parents worked hard to support Orange County and Newport Beach. They have donated their time, energy, and money to various organizations. Gianulias is continuing this legacy by supporting many of the same organizations. He is also involved with animal shelters and organizations that help fallen officers and veterans in California. David Gianulias is not just a skilled and successful entrepreneur and businessman, but also a caring and devoted humanitarian.
