MISSION 50K 50,000 Souls in 5 Months As Christ has called all believers to be the salt of the earth, we believe that we are to take the good news out in to our local community; we are therefore on a mission to touch 50,000 lives with the light of the gospel over the next 5 months (April – August). We will do this in a number of ways including: Bill board campaigns; Tracts delivered door to door; Tracts given out on the streets; Praying for the land and all its inhabitants; Outdoor outreach events;

£50,000 in 5 months We are building a house for God in accordance with 2 Samuel 7. As God himself is building us up as a spiritual house, we have proposed in our hearts to build a house for Him and so we invite you to build with us. Furthermore this house will be a tool to help meet the aims and objectives of this body: To transform lives and to influence change. This house will be a place of worship and a Community Resource Center in the heart of Belfast. We believe in putting our faith in action and impacting our local community. We therefore run a number of projects and provide services for the benefit of our local community and the City as a whole irrespective of religious beliefs. We need a building in which to consolidate and expand on the various services we currently provide and one that gives us the capacity to provide other services including: Parent & Toddler Group Facilities; Youth recreational facilities; Free IT training for the unemployed; Training & Mentoring facilities for young single mothers; Adult English Classes; After-school homework clubs; The Alpha Course; Drop-In centre for the homeless. We have therefore launched a bid to raise £50,000 in 5 months (April to August) towards the acquisition of a suitable building. We would need intense prayers and the faithful engagement of our friends and supporters to meet this goal. See amount raised so far on the Progress meter on the church website. Will you help? The Race of Life

Memories of several challenges, issues or drama I have been through in life came running through my mind recently and I suddenly realised how much God had been faithful. It suddenly dawned on me that in all ways, I come out on top and it must have been God that enabled me go through each challenge, conquering them as I run the race. Psalm 23 verses 4 and 5 says “Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over” I gain a better appreciation of those verses when I count the blessings, the winnings and name them one by one.

So, the other day I was encouraging a brother on a particular issue that seemed like hell to him. I had tried giving him several testimonies of past challenges that God had dealt with and were no more in my life, some of which were so close to what he was experiencing. Sadly he didn’t really appreciate them and rather, continued to complain bitterly. As he left me, I couldn't help feeling that the things that I said to him may not have really made a difference, but I had a call back from him within the hour. He started telling me of a lady he met on the street who, for some reason, opened up to him about challenges she was going through. This was such a random act and, after listening to her (and encouraging her), he couldn’t understand how she was still standing. His conclusion after this experience was that his situation was so small compared to the lady that he shouldn’t complain at all! As we both laughed at his conclusion that he ought to thank God since he had no issues if compared to others, I realised God’s sense of humour in the whole thing. While we feel we are going through hell, or we are being mocked, we really don’t know what another person is going through. Some issues in life are clear to see in people’s life and a lot more are not physically visible. If yours is one that others can see, I assure you that there are huge numbers out there that are not seen but are bigger mountains for the people going through them. What’s clear is that He that created all existence will ensure the testimony comes through in the end. Both I and my friend have realised that we are winning in this race of life, in the manoeuvrings that may or may not come. Folks, I would implore you not to look at the race of others when it looks like all is well for them because what you see may not really be the real or full picture. Rather focus on God because your testimony is just round the corner. Stay strong, stay connected to The Source and see God do wonders in your race. The Christ Seeker!!!
