Stretching not only helps the body to lengthen and limber, it also brings additional blood flow into the area where you are stretching. Along with the blood flow comes oxygen, something that the body needs in order to be able to heal itself. By incorporating Pilates into your daily regime for the stretching exercises, you can often help to lower the amount of pain that you are feeling and this can help you to deal with it as well. Along with doing the Pilates, you will no doubt be instructed in different ways to heal the body from the inside. Most people who get involved with some kind of regular regime such as Pilates also involve themselves with making sure that they are nourished properly, get plenty of rest and drink water regularly. These three things, along with the exercises that you are doing can be a very powerful aid in helping the body to find a natural balance, heal itself and remove the pain that you are feeling altogether.
