Learn to swim with our fun and safe courses led by qualified instructors. Our Learn to Swim scheme has achieved the Amateur Swimming Association’s (ASA) Premier Status Aquamark award. We have lessons for adults and children from four months old of all abilities, including disabled and older children. Courses run at: • Moorways Swimming Pool, Allenton. Tel: 01332 341736 • Queen’s Leisure Centre, city centre. Tel: 01332 641444 Course dates run through the term time, and are between 10 and 14 weeks long. We also offer intensive Learn to Swim courses during the school holidays, and one-to-one lessons. Lessons cost £4.40 a week, booked as a course, with reductions available for people on certain benefits with a Recreation Passport to Leisure. Gymnastics Have Olympic medal winners Beth Tweddle or Daniel Purvis inspired you to take up the sport of gymnastics? If yes, develop basic and more advanced gymnastics skills in a safe environment at Derby City Councils gymnastics sessions. The coaching courses follow the British Gymnastics Award Scheme and are for four to 16 year olds in full time education. Courses are available at: • Moorways Sports Centre, Allenton.
