We changed power relationships! • Renegotiation of the foreign debt: We savedUS$ 8 billion.

• Renegotiation of oil contracts:

US$ 2.5 billion of additional income for investment.

• Repatriation of international reserves: more than US$ 2 billion for production..

• Socialization of banking profits:

US$ 386 million for the poorest population in the next three years.

• No more freezing of accounts or bailouts with everyone’s money. Our new Constitution forbids them!

Our priority has been to erradicate poverty: 1 million 50 thousand Ecuadorians ceased to be poor between 2006 and 2012.

More Basic Services in the Countryside Between 2006 and 2012: We increased access to excreta disposal services (from 66% to 81%) The percentage of homes with solid waste disposal increased (from 23% to 39%).

Overcrowding was reduced (from 26% to 14%).

Between 2007 and 2012, Ecuador reduced its Gini coefficient in 0,07 points (went from 0,54 to 0,47); while Latin America reduced it in 0,02 points(went from 0,52 to 0,50).
