GOES REGIONS TO THE
The Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC) expands its reach by bringing the Food Connect Program to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the regions. The program aims to assist MSMEs in the food processing industry on the step-by-step process of preparing the required documents in applying for License to Operate (LTO) and Certificate of Product Registration (CPR) from the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA). At the same time, the program is also designed to prepare MSMEs in obtaining international certification as required by the country where they intend to export their products. At the end of the program, MSMEs are ready to comply with market standards enabling access to local and international markets.
MAIN OBJECTIVES: â€˘
To provide capability-building through formal/offsite training, write-shop, awareness sessions/briefing sessions and updating on the mandatory/voluntary regulatory and/or market requirements; and
To guide firm level in preparation of and establishing documentary requirements for implementation.

MSMEs assisted by the Innovation Centers of DOST’s Food Innovation Center (FIC), universities and other hubs ready with product R&D
MSMEs with “No LTO” but with existing food processing facility, and are committed to undergo training and mentoring to comply with the mandatory documentary regulatory requirements
MSMEs with LTO and ready to comply with the mandatory documentary regulatory requirements of FDA-CPR
MSMEs in need of assistance in the mandatory certification requirements for export market compliance (especially for first time exporters)
MSMEs who are not ready with their food processing facility but already have business plans and layout of processing facilities.
