Three new homes including a dual occupancy dwelling, additions to three dwellings and three transportable dwellings were among the 14 building permits for Mulwala issued by Corowa Shire Council from mid December 2011 to mid February 2012.
An overall total of 33 building approvals worth a combined value of $3,492,044 was endorsed for the shire. The figures included three new homes for Howlong and two for Corowa, giving a total of eight for the shire over the eight-week-period. “We’ve started the year off really well with eight new dwellings,” director environmental services, currently acting general manager, Bob Parr, said. “Early indications for this year are promising for plenty of building activity. Let’s hope they continue.” Mulwala’s 14 permits were: dwellings, Kenno Court, Sturt Street; Havelock Street (dual occupancy and strata subdivision); three transportable dwellings, Corowa Road; dwelling additions, Corowa Road, Wanani Road, Wandoo Court, shed, Banksai Way, cara-port, Wanani Road; workshop and storage units, McCarthy Street; pergola, Centenary Court; verandah and enclosed patio, Payne Street, swimming pools, Rose Drive, Hoac Court.
