C071/12 UPCOMING EMERGENCY RESPONSE EXERCISE 15 JUNE 2012 Thales would like to advise the local Mulwala and Yarrawonga community that it plans to conduct an emergency response exercise on Friday 15 June at its Mulwala site. This is a routine exercise to enable employees to test the site’s emergency response mechanisms. The emergency response exercise will be carried out in collaboration with local emergency service agencies. Fire fighters, law enforcement, emergency medical personnel, site emergency response teams, security officials, hospitals, and others will all be responding to the staged emergency, making this an outstanding opportunity to test our combined response plan. Exercise activities will occur throughout the day. There may be controlled smoke or loud noises to make the exercise more realistic for participants, the site siren may also be running during the exercise so please do not be alarmed. You may also see emergency response vehicles travelling to the site. Unless the vehicles are using lights and sirens, they are training exercise participants and are not responding to an actual emergency. Thales is committed to upholding the highest safety standards and communicating extensively with the Mulwala and Yarrawonga community, and this exercise is a necessary part of that ongoing commitment. For more information on this exercise, please visit: Gary Davies General Manager, Manufacturing Operations - Mulwala Armaments
