September 21 Issue 7/ Volume 1

FROM THE DEST OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRCTOR (Acting) DORRETT THAXTER I would like to use this medium to say thanks again to the entire JCDC family for the tremendous support that was given in making our Nation’s 50th Anniversary a success. The time and energy along with the sacrifices made in executing these events went beyond the call of duty. We could not have accomplished so much without the input of each team member. As we welcome back the publication of the ABENG, we also extend a warm welcome to all new and returning colleagues who joined the commission during and after our exciting season. Congratulations and well done to all members of the team who continue to make their families, the JCDC and the country proud. For this period we would like to commend Miss Denise Morrison, JP and Mr. Gregory Simms for receiving the Governor General’s Award of Excellence for the parishes of St. Mary and St. James respectively. Congratulations also to Dr. Pamela Powell, JP, for being conferred with the Order of Distinction. Well done team members! Congratulations also to all members of staff who along with their children have done well in their examinations and courses. I encourage all as employees to continue on the path that leads to success. We are very proud of where we are today and excited about where we are headed as we continue to be “A Nation on a Mission”. We look forward to an exciting future at the Commission as we continue to work together.
