Christmas Season Begins It will begin to look a lot like Christmas around here starting on November 23rd. Our Christmas parties this year will be on the 4th of December for St. Elizabeth Place and the 6th of December for the Village. The parties will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and due to space limitations, we will be limiting the number of guest to 4 per apartment again this year. Please turn your reservations in by Friday November 23rd so seating arrangements can be made. Music this year will be provided by: Courtney Hauck, Evan Klaras

Garage Sale & Auction The semi-annual Garage Sale at Providence Park will be on Friday November 9th from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Village Fitness Center and Activity Room. We will also have the auction beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the lobby. You may come early and put a bid in on the items or, if you really

want an auction item, you need to be at the actual auction beginning at 11:00 a.m. sharp. It doesn’t take very long for David and Sharon to run through the items so you won’t have to miss a lot of work to attend and bid. We always have a lot nice things so residents and employees and the

public are invited to attend. Anyone wishing to donate should have their items in no later than 1:00 p.m. on Thursday November 8th in order to have time to set up.

Regis Reunion

If you were a resident, “friend” or employee of the former Regis/St. Elizabeth Center located at 400 Austin Ave. here in Waco, you are cordially invited to attend a Reunion Celebration on November 30, 2012. Your invitation should be delivered by mail sometime the first week in November. The party will be a come & go from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 on the St. Elizabeth Place balcony on the second floor. We will be serving desserts and punch and there will be some old photos to view (you may even be able to take some home with you) and probably some old friends to catch up with.

TSTC Culinary Arts

The van will be leaving at 10:45 a.m. on the Friday November 2nd for the Culinary arts dining room at T.S.T.C. Each Friday the students of this class prepare a very delicious meal for the public. Each week there is a different menu and the one for the 2nd of November will be posted that Monday. Sharon will post this menu on the activity information desk for all to view. For those who would like a unique dining experience, this is the trip for you. So, sign up before Thursday November the 1st so we can make your reservations.

Columbus Avenue Choir

The Columbus Avenue Baptist Church Choir will be performing in the Chapel at Providence Park on Monday November 19th for your enjoyment. This program will begin at 3:00 p.m. Come on down and enjoy some beautiful music.

Massage Therapy

Every other Thursday each month, Leona Owen (massage therapist) is on duty in the Village Activity Room beginning at 1:00 p.m. She gives 30 minute massages for $20.00 which is a very good opportunity to get some relief from your everyday aches and pains. There is a sign-up sheet on the activity table by the Village elevator for anyone who wishes to give it a try.

Veterans Day Parade The bus will be leaving at 10:00 a.m. on Monday November 12th for the Veterans Day Parade here in Waco. We have a favorite spot at which to sit and view everything that’s going on. It seems that a lot of people from Waco like that same spot, so we have to leave early in order to get a good parking space and chair space to sit. So, put on a jacket and hop on the bus and let’s watch a parade.

Explore Waco We will be taking the van for a Ride-Around Waco on Nov. 26th at 2:00 p.m. This is a St. Elizabeth Place Excursion and a sign-up sheet will be at the activity desk for those wishing to go. You might want to take a little money with you on this trip just in case you pass an ice cream parlor on the way!
