INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY SERVICES DIVISION DATABASE ADMINISTRATION

ProSol provides a wide range of information technology support services for federal clients, such as the Department of Labor, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the U.S. Marine Corps.

ProSol supports a broad spectrum of database management systems ranging from MySQL to Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. ProSol monitors database usage and performs continuous fine-tuning ensuring the highest response levels possible.

APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT ProSol follows the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to provide web-application development, database management, software quality assurance, requirements analysis, network architecture support, and documentation support. This includes debugging system interfaces, updating codes with patches, and installing releases.

NETWORK ADMINISTRATION ProSol supports products such as Cisco routers and switches, firewalls, and Windows-, UNIX- and Linux-based servers. ProSol monitors the health of these devices and servers ensuring high levels of system availability within agreed-upon service-level agreements. Where applicable, ProSol applies ITIL concepts and practices to service delivery and service support issues.

CAPITAL PLANNING AND INVESTMENT CONTROL ProSol develops and maintains Exhibit 300s and all supporting documentation such as cost benefit analyses, operational analyses, risk registers, and Earned Value Management analyses. ProSol also supports federal customers in the periodic investment reviews required by the Office of Management and Budget.

WEB-BASED TRAINING ProSol develops curriculum for web-based courses using the Instructional Systems Design methodology based on the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model. The design and development is Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) conformant, and Section 508 and Handbook 6102 compliant. ProSol also assist in the testing, implementation, and evaluation of web-based courses.

ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE ProSol provides Enterprise Architecture (EA) documentation, planning, and advisory support for government organizations on all aspects of its enterprise, and defines and shapes the current and desired target environments and transition activities for all applicable business functions. ProSol develops a comprehensive approach defining the optimal enterprise and the required steps realizing cost, performance, and risk improvements across the organization.

IT SYSTEM AUDIT RESPONSE ProSol assists federal technical and management staff providing timely, accurate, and scope-controlled responses for FISCAM, FISMA, and A-123 audits.

IT TRAINING ProSol provides formal instruction, curriculum development, and training coordination for Microsoft, CISCO, and other technologies.

IT SYSTEMS OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE ProSol supports both major and minor applications and general support systems for the federal government. In coordination with users, system owners, security, and EA, ProSol monitors and manages government systems ensuring all change, release, and configuration management issues are addressed, while maintaining the highest level of system availability. Where applicable, ProSol applies IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) concepts and practices optimizing delivery and support.

IT PROJECT MANAGEMENT ProSol supports the full SDLC from planning through acquisition and iterative development to final disposition. ProSol’s Project Managers and certified Project Management Professionals (PMPs) follow industry best practices, such as the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), and focus on continuous improvement ensuring projects meet all scope, schedule, budget, risk, resource, and quality requirements. Our ISO-certified, metrics-driven approach to management results in the efficient use of resources, reduced error rates, predictable delivery, and enhanced transparency for the client.

CLIENT SUCCESS STORIES United States Department of Labor Information Technology Services ProSol provides IT support services to the DOL Office of the Chief Financial Officer, including program management, capital planning, enterprise architecture, information assurance, software development, systems operations, network administration, database administration, and help desk operations for DOL’s financial, travel, and human resources programs. ProSol’s work with DOL financial systems in 2009 was instrumental in helping DOL achieve its thirteenth consecutive clean audit opinion and ninth consecutive Certificate of Excellence in Accountability Reporting.

Veterans Health Administration National Utilization Management Initiative The Veterans Health Administration National Utilization Management Initiative (NUMI) program provides automated data entry and reporting to review patient care for clinical appropriateness against established evidence-based criteria ensuring patients are receiving the appropriate level of care. ProSol provides operations and maintenance support, creating database enhancements for the NUMI program. ProSol’s team of application development experts perform requirements definition and analyses, testing, and implementation in accordance with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

United States Marine Corps Communications Training Centers ProSol provides tactical communications training to Marines at three Communications Training Centers, each supporting the new equipment and sustainment training needs of a Marine Expeditionary Force.
