2016 BLIZZARD WARNING REMINDER PLEASE KEEP CARS OFF THE STREET The blizzard is on its way and the Governor has declared a state of emergency. The blizzard will intensify with high winds and increased snow accumulation as the storm progresses with 12 to 18 of snow predicted for the North Shore of Long Island. The Town of Oyster Bay has a large crew of plows on the ready to begin salting and plowing our streets. The Supervisor of Roads has requested that Civic Associations remind its members to park cars in garages or driveways in order to keep all cars off the streets during the blizzard to make street plowing easier and more effective. For fire safety purposes, residents with a fire hydrant on their property are reminded to make sure the hydrant is clear of snow.
