Welcome to the 2022/2023 Season
Message from the Executive Director
Dear Teachers and Prologue Supporters,
We are back on the road, and we are so thrilled to be able to connect with you all again in person. We are grateful for your support over the past two years in helping to make our transition to virtual programming a success. Over the past two years, we were able to continue providing arts experiences to over 500,000 students all across Ontario.
This year we are excited to offer both virtual and in-person experiences ensuring we are fully accessible to all students.
This year's programming includes music, theatre, spoken word, Indigenous Education, and much more, with incredible new artists and returning favourites.
We are excited to get back in the classroom and look forward to an exciting year of presenting arts experiences to students across the province.
Sincerely, Maria Williams Executive Director
Land Acknowledgement
From everyone here at Prologue, we would like to express our gratitude for the ability to work, live, and gather on this traditional territory named Tkarón:to; the place in the water where the trees stand; the land that is currently known as Toronto.
We would like to acknowledge that we are situated on the lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, and the Wendat Peoples. We acknowledge them and the many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, and all other Nations who care for this land (recorded and unrecorded).
We recognize our responsibility to understand and disrupt the ongoing systems of oppression, and to reflect on the meaning of, and the path towards, reconciliation.
