List of Biomes and Organisms Ocean Eubacteria & Archaebacteria- Many uses including decaying of organisms, medicine, and more Phytoplankton- Herbivorous Consumer Krill- 1st level consumer Large Fish- Such as trout, tuna, sea bass. 2nd Level consumer Dolphin- High level consumer. Shark- Highest level consumer. Evens out the food pyramid and chain Seal- 2nd level consumer in colder areas Coral & Algae- Primary Producer

Desert Cacti- They can out live a lot of plants with their advanced roots. Primary Producer Rabbit’s Foot Fern, Tillandsia, Shefflera, Vriesea Ella- Does very well with indirect sunlight. Since the planet is farther away from their star, these plants should thrive. Primary Producer Insects, Rodents, Lizards- Herbivorous consumers Snakes- 2nd consumer Hawk- 3rd consumer

Biogeochemicals are elements in the earth which undergoes change and back to its starting point. For example, water goes through precipitation, condensation, and evaporation. Kepler 22b has the same basic biogeochemicals from earth.


Human Impact Human Impact on Kepler 22b would not be as severe as the human impact on earth. WATER SUPPLY:There is a larger supply of water which has more fish. Humans won’t be overfishing if we continue to use the same rules on earth. IRRIGATION: Irrigation on Kepler 22b would not change much. Since there is a plentiful amount of water, irrigation would not be a problem as long as we don’t get overpopulated. ENERGY PRODUCTION: Energy production will be based mostly off of fossil fuels. Since excessive energy use was a major factor in making earth inhabitable, we will cut back on energy usage. There will be very little power plants and minimal electricity usage. There will be more turbines to generate wind power because it does not create air pollution and consumes no fuel. We will try our best to limit pollution and waste that we disperse into the atmosphere of this new planet. Some of the effects of our presence will be evident, including using the water and oxygen in order to survive. But also we will have to use some technology like cars and fossil fuels to provide energy for ourselves and transportation. Hopefully we will strive for cleaner energy resources, but we will still have to use the materials provided on the planet for us to survive.


Footprints People in out new planet need to learn to not pollute our new planet. We can’t be littering and throwing trash on the ground. We don’t want to harm other life or the environment. We would need to conserve the natural resources the planet offers. We can’t go and waste all the natural things that take years and years to produce. We cannot afford to pollute our atmosphere for this can have drastic changes on the environment that the organisms will not be able to respond and eventually die off as a result.


Evidence and Reasoning Ocean We chose Coral & Algae as our Primary Producers for the ocean because coral provides a great deal of shelter for oceanic creatures such as the fish we are bringing. Without shelter these fish would die vary soon due to the larger preditors. We also chose algae because it is one of the largest producers on the earth due to the fact that there is so much of it. Freshwater We chose Fungi, Algae, and Protozoa as our Producers because for one some fungi are helpful in making medicine and help us make bread but most importantly fungi is a large part of decomposing. Algae help as being one of the worlds biggest producers. Forest We chose Grass and Trees as our plants because we need grass to inhabit the land and help us with growing everything else, also grass is one of the top hiding spots for animals. We also chose trees but we dont want too many trees at first because the oxygen levels are already high. Mountains We chose Ferns and Shrubs as our plants because not many plants grow well in rocky areas but ferns and shrubs do well. Celebration Section Many things people say about America is that we are very culturally diverse and we are a nation of many mixed cultures. There are a great number of people that are worried about what will happen when we move to this “new world� and how everyone will keep their own culture alive. When we move to this new world one of the main problems will be how everyone keeps their culture alive. America keeps the peace between all the races, cultural differences, and people by giving everyone freedom. Having freedom in everything we do, unless its unjust, is a key factor of celebrating any cultural change. So before we go we need to set up our own system of government and laws. We believe that since the people came from the Earth, they would want to keep their same traditions and religious holidays to honor their past and keep things similar. Citrix is the new planet, therefore there would be Citrix day instead of Earth day. this will be annual, the day it was established as their own planet, their home. Also, We need to take time to respect our planet. Once a month we need to have National-Respect Day to remember to keep our new home well, since we killed our old one. In this holiday, we will try and use less natural resources and electricity. The children in school will need to learn about our past, and learn to respect our future.
