We are grateful for your service, and as a result, we provide a number of benefits including a military tuition discount to active duty, reserve, and veterans pursuing all Undergraduate and Graduate degrees. Military members pay only $250 per credit hour! We also provide a book voucher of up to $800 each academic year, $100 per class for up to eight classes, for Undergraduate military students. Thank you for considering Chancellor University and the Public Administration Program. The goal of the Public Administration Program is to provide high quality instruction in policy development, policy implementation, policy evaluation, and public finance. The program teaches students skills in dealing with and resolving complex policy issues while mindful of political and ethical imperatives. It is my hope that with the attainment of such skills, students will be able to make informed decisions about public policy matters and provide effective leadership in the public/private sector arena. If you have a passion for public service and enjoy working on policy issues in the context of local, state, and national governments, the Public Administration Program at Chancellor is for you.

Faculty Spotlight Our Public Administration faculty and staff come with much practical and field experience, including: Elected Office – One faculty member serves as Ohio Representative in Ohio’s General Assembly. He has been teaching in the program for over ten years. Municipal Government – Two faculty members are from the mayor’s administration and serve on Chancellor’s public administration advisory board and teach courses in the program. One is the chief of the Mayor’s public relations office. City Council – One council member serves on the program advisory board and is a faculty in the public administration program. Federal Reserve – One faculty member who is also on the program advisory works as the compliance officer for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. Higher Education – One faculty member holds the position of Equal Employment & Diversity Specialist at Case Western Reserve University. She has been teaching in the program for over five years.

Curriculum Summary Chancellor University offers Certificate, Associate and Bachelor Degrees in Public Administration. Our degree programs are organized around core, specialization, elective, and capstone courses that cover a broad range of governmental and non-profit topics to help develop your knowledge, skills, and abilities. The program integrates knowledge from other areas to provide a combination of general and specialized information in a multi-disciplinary approach. With a 16% growth predicted through the year 2018, the Health Services Management degree is one that will prepare you for one of the fastest growing career opportunities today. Upon receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Health Service Management, a person can expect to find a variety of career opportunities with facilities dealing with health services such as hospitals, doctor’s offices, private practices, nursing homes or other medical facilities. Faculty Spotlight Our Health Services Management faculty are accomplished and dedicated professionals with expertise in health administration, medical science, public policies and management. Our Program Director was recruited from the Cleveland Clinic; she holds a MD PhD degree and has expertise in medical and bio-pharmaceutical (clinical) research.

Curriculum Summary Chancellor University currently offers a Certificate and Bachelor degree in Health Services Management. As of September 2011 we will launch a new degree in Health Informatics and in the near future will launch a master’s program in Business Administration / Healthcare Administration. Our degree programs are organized around courses that cover a broad range of health care and management topics to help develop your knowledge, skills, and abilities. The program integrates knowledge from other areas to provide a combination of general and specialized information in a multi-disciplinary approach. Our courses will fit your needs, as either a part-time or full-time day or evening student. Small class sizes enable you to work closely with professors and develop strong professional relationships. Through dedicated faculty, internship opportunities, and relationships with world-renown health systems such as the Cleveland Clinic, we offer our students the real world knowledge they need to excel. Students who have already completed appropriate nursing, EMT, radiology or other health care technology training may be awarded up to 27 hours of block credit toward this degree.

Two (2) members have been teaching at Chancellor since the late 1980s. One of them served as Program Director for HSM Program in previous years. Another holds an MA in Public Policy and a PhD in Comparative World History with a cognate area in International Relations.

Two (2) members hold MBA’s with expertise in Healthcare Administration / Organizational Development. Their expertise is in Financial Modeling, Risk management, Strategic Business Partnerships, Strategic Planning and Analysis, as well as in Metric Development.

Program Overview Chancellor University’s Paralegal degrees offer you an educational experience that blends technology and academics to prepare you for the ever changing legal field. The Paralegal field is projected to experience 28% growth between 2008 and 2018.* Paralegals do everything from interviewing potential witnesses to conducting research and assisting lawyers in general office work, and as such have the potential to earn on average $50,080, with the top ten percent averaging at $75,700.* A Paralegal degree does not limit one to working in a law firm. Remember the law is everywhere and therefore so are paralegals. Combine your passion with a paralegal degree and your opportunities are endless. Faculty Spotlight Our Paralegal faculty has a commitment to linking research, theory, and practice in ways that will not only prepare you to enter or advance in your chosen fields of practice or academia, but to flourish within them. Gretchen Fleming is currently the Chair of the Paralegal Education Programs at Chancellor University in Cleveland, Ohio, a position held since July 2009. Gretchen has a JD from the University of Toledo and a MS in Criminal Justice-Forensic Psychology from Tiffin University. She has been teaching Criminal Justice and Sociology for Bowling Green State University since 2000. Other work experience has been for the Erie County Prosecutor’s Office, Criminal Division and for a Civil Law practice in Cleveland. Gretchen has also been a psychologists assistance for a private practice in Toledo Ohio. Gretchen presented “Postpartum insanity defense: What’s in a label?” at the OCCJE Conference in April 2004.

Curriculum Summary Chancellor University’s Paralegal degree programs provide the opportunity to get ahead on your schedule. We offer Associate of Science, Bachelor’s of Science, and post-degree certificates both on ground on our Cleveland Campus and 100% online. Our programs are both academically and technologically progressive in a personal and supportive environment. Our courses are developed to provide for the study and exchange of ideas and for the acquisition of practical career skills so that our students can graduate and enjoy a fulfilling career in the legal field. Our program and our courses are built on a “portfolio” platform, where our students develop a professional portfolio that will assist in setting them apart when they seek employment which includes their resume, and work products. Our legal specialty courses also are built with the student portfolio in mind, where the students work a case in that area of law from beginning to end, as they would in the field.
