COAST TO COAST AGM & Tradeshow – April 17 Halifax, Nova Scotia The Investment Property Owners Association of Nova Scotia is hosting its annual general meeting on April 17, at the Westin Nova Scotia. The reception and trade show start is 5:30 p.m., and feature 12 industry booths and numerous networking opportunities. Residential Tenancies Act Refresher Course – April 18 Toronto, Ontario The Federation of Rental Housing Providers of Ontario is offering a refresher course on the Residential Tenancies Act. Topics to be covered include: how to screen tenants in compliance with the Human Rights Code; meeting Ontario’s new accessibility standards; and recent decisions on the Residential Tenancies Act and what those decisions mean for landlords. The course will be held on April 18 at the Old Mill Inn in Toronto from 8:30 to noon (breakfast at 8 a.m.).
