Ria Greene (MVP Female)

Asa Weithers (MVP Male)

Ria has been a judoka since she was five years old, after being introduced to the sport by her mother. Now 13 years old, she has recently acquired her green belt and is optimistic about someday competing for her country at the Olympics. The powerful, independent and smart teenager says she excelled at judo because of the support and encouragement of her parents.

Asa Weithers says he was a judoka from birth. In fact, his father, a national judo coach, had him on the Judo mat from the time he could creep, which steadily developed into a love of the sport. Asa hopes to make it to the Olympics one day, although he has already been privileged enough to travel to places like Brazil, Paris, Dominican Republic and Venezuela as a judoka.
