“Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. “ John 7: 38 It’s been two years since I’ve been working with the young teen girls at my church. I feared terribly the idea of leading youth ministry. I tried in my own strength to make the young girls change for the beer only to end up frustrated by my failures. It wasn’t unl I “let go and let God” that I began to see GOD do an amazing work, not only in their hearts but in mine as well.

The scripture above freed me… truth is that as we believe God for who he is, streams of living water will flow through us and people around us , the people we are called to serve, will inevitably get wet...impacted by God working through us. •
Up unl most recently I have felt like my life didn't’ maer and that I wasn’t important or significant, but God, in His mercy, is constantly showing me my significance in Him. As my life is poured out, I feel more and more like I am finally living. I have nothing to offer these young girls at my church or anyone else for that maer, but God does… and through my life He chooses to reach those who have yet to know him. How cool! How sweet! •
Serving these young teen girls has been the hardest thing to do yet the most fulfilling thing in my life! In seeing God pursue their hearts I’ve learned so much about His love for me as well. Despite the fullness of my schedule, God has given me the privilege to invest in the lives of seven teen girls at my church. I’ve especially bonded with one of them, Chris, who is pictured here. Chris is a beauful, sweet, smart and arscally gi1ed young woman, but she doesn’t know it or see it. She doesn’t think she’s good at anything or deserving of anything good. It breaks my heart to hear her speak so negavely about herself. She comes from a single parent home, and her mom cares for her as best she can. Unfortunately, her mom rarely comes to church and doesn't seem to value the things we’ve sought to insll in Chris. It blows me away each week to see her show up to church on Sundays without her mom. And just last year she even aened the Impact Naonal Conference in New Orleans. Two weeks a1er the conference Chris invited Christ into her life! Since then it has been AMAZING to see her transform right before my eyes!
Just a couple of weeks ago, Chris% graduated from Winter Park High school with a 4.3 grad point average and honors. She was accepted to a'end Pra' University in New York where she plans to study architecture. I am so glad that she is going off to college saved and with a desire to con%nue growing in her walk with the Lord. It has been an absolute joy and pleasure to labor alongside this young lady in this way and I look forward to the fruit God will produce from her life.
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliaon; that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not coun%ng people’s sins against them. And he has commi'ed to us the message of reconcilia%on. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.(1Corin 5:18-20)
