Babysitting Training (Ages 11-15)

Tae Kwon Do Karate (Ages 5+)

This updated Babysitting Training class prepares you to safely and responsibly care for yourself and children or infants in the absence of a parent or guardian. This class will help you develop leadership skills, learn how to develop a babysitter’s business (CD-rom included), keep yourself and others safe, help children behave, and learn basic child care and First Aid. You must complete all hours to earn a completion certificate. You will receive a Babysitter’s Bag with a handbook. Please bring a bag lunch for break time. Call to register. No discounts.

In this class, you’ll learn the basics and advance through the program based on skill level. You’ll learn to apply attributes such as respect, self control and discipline to your daily activities while learning self defense and how to avoid becoming a victim. The instructor moves quickly, so plan to attend all sessions. Younger students and those who may require additional guidance or help following instructions should be accompanied by an adult (at no extra charge). You will be invited to test for different belt levels when the instructor feels you can succeed. Testing is optional and requires an additional fee of approximately $40.

Advanced Babysitting (Ages 11-15) Set yourself apart! This class is not offered in many areas, so it could increase the demand for your babysitting service. This class will prepare you to deal with life threatening first aid emergencies when caring for other children. Class covers Child/Infant CPR with the use of AED and Advanced First Aid. You will receive the following certification: Child/Infant CPR/ AED, valid for 2 years. You must complete the Babysitting Training class prior to starting Advanced Babysitting. Please bring the books you received in that class. You will receive a First Aid kit. Call to register. act Preparation with Advantage Educational Programs (11th-12th grade) Are you planing to take the ACT this year? If so, this 12-hour course is intended to assist you with your test-taking skills by providing strategies and review of all the ACT testing areas. Course work addresses vocabulary development, intensive mathematical review, reading comprehension improvement, concentration improvement, overcoming test anxiety, time management, and essay writing. Each course meets for three hours, once each week for four weeks. Courses begin and end with a shortened sample test designed to show you what areas you need to address and how you have improved your test taking ability. Students may repeat the courses as often as they wish -- FREE OF CHARGE.
