Big Bad with Child’s Play Theatre (1st-8th Grade) Big Bad provides actors and audiences of any age with a smart and wickedly funny play that lets the audience determine the outcome of the play! The most notorious criminal in the fairy-tale world, Big Bad Wolf, is being slapped with a class-action lawsuit by the countless quirky characters he has wronged. Now, the two greatest legal minds in the Enchanted Forest — the Evil Stepmother and the Fairy Godmother — will clash (on live Court TV, no less, with Sydney Grimm as commentator!) in a trial that will be remembered forever after. As Little Red Riding Hood, her Grandmother, the Three Little Pigs and the Shepherd in charge of the Boy Who Cried Wolf testify, the wolf seems deserving of all that’s coming. Families & parents Bees for Kids

¿Qué están diciendo? (Adults)

Encourage children’s natural curiosity about bees. See inside a busy honeybee observation hive (without the risk of getting stung). Visit flowers and see the diversity of bee pollinators in our area: honeybees and bumblebees are just a small fraction of the bees in Minnesota. Learn the difference between bees and their aggressive relatives the wasps, hornets, and yellow jackets. Plant a flower from which bees can get nectar and pollen.

What are they saying! Are you worried you won’t know what your La ola del lago Spanish immersion child is saying to you? Are you curious if they are talking about you without you even knowing it? Come learn how they learn! Discover Spanish through vocabulary and phrases in a fun-filled environment- an immersion classroom! Classes are open to any adult, but are most appropriate for adult family members of La ola del lago Spanish immersion students, or parents considering this option for their children next fall.

November, 2017 Referendum This is a time of unprecedented growth in our district. New housing developments, combined with families moving into existing homes within our boundaries, can be attributed to our largest increases in student enrollment growth. Because of this growth, the School Board accepted a 50-member Facilities Task Force’s recommendations for long-term facilities planning to help with our space needs. The Board is now planning for a November referendum. Details will be available on our website this fall: www.priorlake-savage.k12.mn.us

Students may not walk or bike home from a CE class. • Drop off your child in the classroom on time each session. • Elementary After School CE Participants will be dismissed from their elementary classroom to Kids’ Company (KC) Staff. Students will eat snack (provided by CE) with KC. CE class instructors will pick up registered class participants from Kids’ Company. Security codes will be issued to parents by email (at locked buildings). Watch your email for that code. Parents are responsible for contacting Community Education if they do not receive the code. • Inform the instructor AND a Community Education staff person of any allergies, special needs, or behavioral concerns that may help us to provide the best environment and instruction for your child and the other students enrolled. • The behavior of students is expected to be appropriate for the class learning environment. The instructor and Community Education staff reserve the right to dismiss students immediately, without a refund, when behavior is not appropriate or jeopardizes the safety of them or other students. Should this become necessary, parents will be contacted and expected to pick up children immediately. Registration implies consent. Please Note: These procedures have been modified for Fall 2017.
