WOW JUNE IS ALREADY HERE! School is just about out and Grill Season is in full swing. For those neighbors celebrating a graduate, Congratulations! The long road to this point is over and the next journey begins. I look forward to smelling all of the grills and firepits in the summer breeze in celebration and friendship

Most weekends for us will be at the pool as two of our boys will be doing summer league swimming this year. We are also celebrating a birthday this month in our family.

There are so many events going on this month, so don’t forget to check them out in this month’s issue.

I’ve also included some reminders as we head into summer about what the City of Chesapeake provides for residents. As we all begrudgingly pay our personal property tax, remember that the City works for YOU!

I also would love any feedback! What would you love to see in our neighborhood? I was talking to a neighbor recently and we thought a community garden might be something that more neighbors would be interested in doing. My boys love the idea of gardening but I am not too helpful in that subject. We have seen some lovely gardens in the neighborhood so if anyone is interested in sharing your skills, please let me know!
