1. If you could give any advice to your 18-year-old self, what would it be?

I would tell my 18-year-old to not rush into anything, you are so young and your life is just getting started! I wish I didn’t try to rush through high school thinking that I wanted to get a big girl job. Enjoy the little moments!

2. What’s a book that you’ve read, at any point in your life, that’s influenced you and/or impacted your life? How so?

The 12 Marriage Safeguards, by Samuel and Katie Deuth, the lead pastors at my church In Carlsbad; Awaken.

3. If you could pick anyone to serve as your mentor and/or business coach, who would it be?

The mentor I would choose would be Asha Bailey. She is a phenomenal couples photographer and I would love to be a second shooter for her or get helpful hints because she is so talented behind the camera.

4. What did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was young I wanted to be a veterinarian when I grew up. I still love animals but I realized could never do the things the job of a vet demands!

5. What’s your favorite way to healthily relieve stress?

My favorite way to destress in a healthy way is by going to the gym for a workout or taking my little boys for a walk on the beach and to play with them in the sand and watch the waves.

1. If you could give any advice to your 18-year-old self, what would it be?

Being a mom to an almost 18-year-old, I find myself reflecting a lot these days! I would definitely say not to focus so much on how you’re going to make lots of money but to find a career doing something that you love and that satisfies you. Life is too short to waste on a job that’s unpleasant!

2. What’s a book that you’ve read, at any point in your life, that’s influenced you and/or impacted your life? How so?

One book I highly recommend is The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. Its bite-sized chapters with exciting twists and turns that got me hooked from the start! The author not only made me feel deeply for the main character but also caused me to reflect upon my own life choices and to really put some thought into my future.

3. If you could pick anyone to serve as your mentor and/or business coach, who would it be?

I would love to be able to spend some one-on-one time with Barbara Corcoran (Shark Tank). She is such an incredible inspiration. She took out a small loan to start her own business and now has a real estate company worth billions

4. What did you want to be when you grew up?

I was always passionate about nature and finding ways to conserve. Marine biology was on my list and you can definitely see that reflected in my creations.

5. What’s your favorite way to healthily relieve stress?

Running a small business can be very stressful at times! I deal with it by listening to music, reading a good book with a fragrant candle, and deep breathing. Painting/creating can be very therapeutic as well.
