PRGA Hall of Fame – Class of 2017


PRGA Hall of Fame – Class of 2017 On Tuesday, July 11, 2017, Sidney Wolf, President and the Puerto Rico Golf Association Hall of Fame Nominating Committee proudly announced their 2017 Hall of Fame inductees.

The 2017 inductees are: Marilina Silen – Current PRGA Board Member For more than 15 years supporting the PRGA Juniors as Manager and Program Director. John Allen – Current PRGA Board Member For over 15 years, continues to serve as Director of the Juniors Program and Competitions. Luis “Papo” Velez - Past PRGA Board Member Had a successful 20-year run television program “Golf Deporte Para Toda Una Vida”.

Clifford Myatt Sr. – Past PRGA Board Member Supported and advocated the game of golf and the rules of golf in Puerto Rico since the 1960’s. Hector “Tito” Rivera - Past PRGA Board Member Former Director of National Teams representing Puerto Rico and present golf rules official.


Golf Para Todos Giving Back to the Community The official PRGA Community Service Program began in 2001 with the idea of teaching golf to children from low-income families. Today “Golf Para Todos” is a program with the mission to expand the game of golf to everyone in Puerto Rico, thus get away from the elitism the sport tends to bring.
