Historic and vintage weddings seem to be all the rage these days. From everything ranging from shabby chic, Victorian, art deco, and the roaring 20’s. So how about a theme for the Great Gatsby? You could work a Gatsby related theme into any season that you will be tying the knot! If you do decide to go with a wedding theme like Gatsby you will want to channel the best and the brightest of the era. The era was about fun, champagne, and sex so your wedding should include these ideas. You may not want to throw a HUGE party like Gatsby—and that is fine too (actually my preference). Adding specific pieces throughout your wedding can add flair, style and elegance while not being too over the top! Here is a list of a few ideas to add to your wedding to make it Gatsby/ Roaring 20’s/Art Deco all combined. Invitations: Your wedding invitations, save the dates, even your bridal shower invitations can include the theme and set the tone of the wedding. Your invites can showcase the elegance and art deco architecture of the time. They can also include the reds, oranges, gold’s or mint colors that were prevalent during the time period. Stationary: The rest of your wedding stationary: escort cards, programs and table numbers can also be subtle enough but add the flair of the 20’s without going overboard.
