 Senior Youth Club – Thursdays – Sept 26th – Dec 6th Excluding Thursday 17th October

The drop-in group is open between 6.00-9.00pm for young people in S1+. Young people can take part in games and activities, meet with friends, socialise and build relationships. Occasionally young people may get the opportunity to go on trips or residential visits. Cost: £1.00 per session

Excluding Friday 18th October

This group meets between 1.00-3.00pm for children in P1 – P7 Participants will have the opportunity to take part in games, arts and crafts, cooking and baking and themed projects. The club can accommodate up to 40 children. Cost: £2.00 per session In addition to the above programme, we also offer the ZAP Group – targeted to young people with additional support needs and the Alphabet Youth Group for young people who identify as LGBT. Introduction

FOR MUSIC CLASSES/PROJECT PLEASE REGISTER INTEREST BY WEDNESDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER 2019 TO SECURE A SPACE.

Community Learning and Development Services are offering children and young people a range of social and recreational opportunities. All programmed activities are planned to take place during school term time. There is a maximum limit on the number of participants for each programme.

Excluding Tuesday 15th October

Music Classes are generally delivered one to one or in small groups between 4.30-5.00pm, 5.00-5.30pm and 5.30-6.00pm and are open to young people in Primary 5 and older. Instruments on offer are: Guitar-Acoustic/Electric/Bass, Drums, Keyboard/Piano, Brass and Vocals. Please indicate your choice of instrument at registration. There are 10 classes in the block. Cost: £4 per class or £40 for the block.

Registration & Programme Costs To take part in any of our programmes, all children must be registered. Registration forms can be obtained from Prestonpans Community Centre reception. There may be existing participants on programmes who hold a space – where programmes are full a waiting list will operate. Where necessary the programme is subject to change.

The Music Project offers band development time with assistance from experienced specialist youth workers with a background in music. The project meets 6.00-9.00pm. There is no charge for the project but registration forms must be completed to secure a place. The music project is mainly for S1+ and includes various performance opportunities for those who would like to take part.

Junior Youth Club – Mondays – Sept 23rd – Dec 2nd Excluding Monday 14th October

This group meets between 6.30-8.00pm for children in P6 and P7. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in games, arts and crafts, cooking and baking and themed projects. The club can accommodate up to 50 children. Cost: 50p per session.
