PRESTIGIOUS JET SETTER

PRESTIGIOUS JET SETTER In this new feature for Prestige International, a celebrity tells us about their travel essentials. This issue showcases the Queen of Clubland, Nadia Ali.

1. Where's your favourite place to travel and why? I absolutely LOVE touring countries in Asia. It's such a culture shock for me and the people there are always so friendly and generous. Other than that, I always appreciate travelling in the Middle East... Egypt, Lebanon, Dubai... they're all amazing! 2. What's been your most memorable journey? Honestly, every trip I take and every show I play, no matter where in the world, is beyond memorable. My fans mean so much to me and they are not afraid to show me their love when I come to their country. Those emotions are forever instilled in me when I depart. 3. Tell us something about a souvenir you have that's truly outstanding. The best souvenirs I have are the ones given to me by my fans in various countries. When I was in Jakarta, a fan gave me this really awesome ring that I still wear every day. It constantly reminds me of how amazing and sweet my fans are. 5. How do you stay looking pretty on long haul trips? I love to feel comfy and natural. I don't like to go crazy and dress up just for a 12 hour flight out of the country. As long as I'm in some comfy clothes and I feel relaxed, I will feel pretty for those long trips! 6. Any tips for overcoming jet lag? Rest and green tea! After I come home from a crazy tour, I just try to decompress and mentality get refocused. That includes drinking lots of green tea. For me, that's the best thing to do.

7. What could we always find packed in your suitcase? My swim suit! I recently learned how to swim and I've made it a point to only stay in hotels with swimming pools so I can get my daily swim in 8. What's the most spectacular hotel you've ever stayed in? Describe your experience Hands down, some of my favorite hotels to stay in are W Hotels. I've stayed in so many around the world, and the experience has ALWAYS been magnificent. Just last week I was in Taipei and I stayed at the W Hotel there. They had incredible food, a beautiful pool, and... well... very interesting toilets... haha. 9. What do you miss most when you're away? My friends and family. It is hard to leave them behind especially when I'm going to a different country where I wish I could share the experience with them. If I could, I'd pack them in my suitcase and take them with me! 10. What's the first thing you do when you come home? If I'm not getting rest, I'm definitely getting together with friends and family, telling them about my tour, the cities I went to, and showing them all pictures (if they missed it on my Instagram or Facebook, haha)! Just relaxing with loved ones.
