About Engineering Skillnet Engineering Skillnet is a learning network for companies of all sizes in the engineering sector What does Skillnet do? We work in partnership with Skillnet Ireland and our contracting organisation, the Ibec Engineering Network, to respond to the training needs of the engineering sector. How do we operate? We are funded through Skillnet Ireland from the National Training Fund through the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research and Science, and is contracted to the Engineering Network, an Ibec sector. Our learning network is comprised of member companies from a range of markets and these companies work collaboratively to share best practice and to respond effectively to the specific skills needs of the sector. The network addresses both technical and non-technical skills needs of members. Supports to Network Member Companies: • • • • • • • • • • • •

Assist businesses to identify and address current and future skills needs Developing quality programmes to enhance employee skills and help companies remain competitive Information on approaches to learning and talent development Guidance on achieving value for money when investing in learning and development Flexible training and education programmes customised to the needs of the sector Innovative new programme design and development Leadership programmes for business owners and executives Provide certified and non-certified technical training Training relating to communication, problem-solving and other core skills Advice on gauging the effectiveness of training Access to a network of businesses within the sector Conferences, seminars, and other informal learning and networking events
