escribed as the ‘funhouse of the future’, Infinity is an extraordinary series of around 20 multi-sensual environments filled with unique special effects, atmospheric sound fields, ultra groovy music and illusions that appear to go all the way to infinity.

computers that control the effects in each world. The environments integrate a ‘magic mix’ of fibre optics, special translucent finishes, total internal reflection, infrared and ultraviolet lighting, tactile elements, lasers and projection effects, the latest LED technology and video projection systems and mood-setting sound technology.

The brainchild of Gold Coast based inventor and leisure & entertainment concept designer, Gregg Thompson, Infinity combines special effects technology, science and immersive art into one unforgettable journey. As Managing Director of concept development company Dreamtech Group, Gregg has attracted worldwide interest and praise for this world-class attraction.

The Infinity experience takes approximately 30 minutes, and is ideal for groups, families and even dates! Infinity is frequently used for celebrating special occasions or social club and school outings. It’s perfect for work parties, team building, a reviver for conference delegate groups or as a thrilling example of ‘thinking outside the square’ to enthuse marketing groups.

“Infinity has been a success story due to its appeal to all ages and nationalities as well as both sexes. It combines a healthy dose of showmanship with an effective use of psychology, good marketing and staff training.” Gregg explains.

We can almost guarantee that you’ll want to visit Infinity more than once. “Infinity has an extraordinarily high level of repeat visitation driven by patrons wanting to share their ‘discovery’ with their friends and family as well as the knowledge that it is continually evolving new experiences,” says Gregg.

During his university years, Gregg developed innovative light shows for live bands and after forming Dreamtech he developed an impressive diversity of special effects for fashion shows, kinetic signage and themed exhibitions for large companies and government as well as plans for high tech edu-tainment attractions. Gregg applied these imagineering skills for Brisbane’s World Expo ’88 and he has created designs and technologies for entire theme parks, each with their own unique appeal. Technologically, Infinity is at the cutting edge. Specially developed software runs a bank of

ROAD TEST We sent our resident road tester, Shannon Fisher, down to Infinity to find out what all the fuss is about. Walking into the Infinity shopfront we were Ph.met (07)by5538 welcoming, 2988 friendly staff. Anticipation was high as we were handed our white gloves and shoe covers. These glow-in–the-dark shoe and hand gloves, we were told, help you navigate in the darkest areas. Ahead of us was a family with small children. We waited for a few minutes for them to proceed before walking into the first world, fully mirrored and different. This ‘Inter-dimensional Space’ was a fantastic start to our experience, easing us into the experience gently. Each area in Infinity leads to wonder and awe; set up like a new-age maze, you experience something new in every world. From very low light areas with amazing special effects that lead to the unknown to secret doors hidden for you to find, and even fluid-like floors for you to have fun on, each world encourages interaction. There are environments that you could stand in for hours, mesmerised by the amazing visual effects. The way Infinity has used lighting and mirrors to create illusions is pure genius! Once you have started on your Infinity journey, there is no turning back – literally. The maze through Infinity is one way only, so it’s not possible to go back the way you came from. But with each room even more thrilling than the last, you won’t want to! Infinity is great fun for the whole family and is recommended for children eight years and over.
