Are you connected to your Shadow? Is it part of you, fully integrated? Or, like Peter Pan, is your Shadow detached, on the loose, running around creating havoc?

Separation from Shadow is separation from your power. Integration of Shadow is integration into your personal power. And that’s the reason to Reclaim Your Shadow!

Shadow is that part of you that is in your unconscious, not yet integrated into your conscious awareness.

We may sometimes mistakenly think of Shadow as the scary parts, the “dark” parts. The unattractive parts that we’re not proud of. The ones that we don’t want to admit we have. The parts that we cover in shame and secrecy. Yet, Shadow is much more than that.

It’s certainly true that sometimes our Shadow parts come from trauma and pain. From unresolved, unintegrated experiences in life.

But it’s also true that Shadow parts come from faulty perceptions about life and about ourselves.

Shadow contains the parts that we repress; the parts that we don’t consciously express. Those parts that are wild, untamed, instinctual, intuitive, creative, threatening. Those parts that we’re told need to be controlled or eliminated.

When you reclaim your Shadow, you gain a greater and deeper understanding and acceptance of yourself and others.

You connect to your authenticity, resilience, intuition, creativity, freedom, and power. As you work in and with Shadow, you integrate those parts into the whole fabric of your life –the whole vessel of your life – beautifully adorned, decorated, celebrated at each point of integration, as you create and live the life that makes you come alive!

Like the Japanese art of kintsugi, you recreate and reframe the “flaws” of your life, adorned with gold dust, silver dust, platinum dust, stardust – the brilliance of all of creation.

You no longer hide or disguise the “flaws,” the different-ness. Instead, you see them as part of the history of your life. You adorn, decorate, celebrate, integrate them into the whole fabric and vessel of your life as you create an integrated whole, more beautiful and dazzling than the original.
