In this month’s newsletter, you will be receiving your Co-op Connections Card and additional information on this new benefit of your cooperative membership. PRECorp has made this card available to our members so they can take advantage of discounted pricing on certain products and services from nationally known brands. It is my hope that the benefits of this card will, in some small way, help offset the increases that you may be seeing in your monthly power bill. By listening to the “voice of the customer,” we hear you, our member-owner, asking for three very important things from your cooperative: 1. My electric bill should be affordable. 2. PRECorp’s services should add value to my quality of life. 3. PRECorp should be a good corporate citizen and lead by example. Offering services such as the Co-op Connections Card is an important part of our effort to develop member service programs that not only help to keep your electric bill affordable but also to enhance your quality of life. It is vitally important that PRECorp continues to meet or exceed all regulatory requirements as we strive for good corporate citizenship and endeavor to lead by example in our communities. This month I will be visiting with the entire PRECorp team to discuss how we will continue to
respond to your voice as we lay out our strategies, objectives and initiatives for 2011. Our goal is to focus our efforts in response to the three very important deliverables listed above and to create a very high level of alignment within the organization to meet those deliverables. By listening to your voice, we can focus on things that make the biggest difference to you. Last month I mentioned some of the steps we have taken in order to hold the line on our controllable expenses. However, holding the line on expenses is only a small part of what must be done in order to have a successful year; we must also continue to utilize our resources wisely while focusing our efforts on affordability, adding value and leading by example. Creating this type of alignment in a multi-faceted organization such as PRECorp is not easy, but I have every confidence in the PRECorp team and their ability to deliver. I look forward to next month when I can share with you some of the more important “takea-ways” from our efforts to align the organization in response to your voice. I hope you will take advantage of the new Co-op Connections Card and the value it adds to your quality of life through realized savings on various products and services.
