PRECorp members to gather for annual meeting Bob Farmer and Farmers’ Almanac to be featured SUNDANCE, Wyo. - Powder River Energy Corporation (PRECorp) will give away

a commemorative edition of the 2012 The Farmer’s Almanac to the first 500 members who register at the cooperative’s 66th Annual Meeting at the Upton (Wyo.) Elementary/Middle School Saturday, Aug. 20. The meeting will include reports from PRECorp officials and the election of board members. The Powder River Energy Foundation and Operation RoundUp® will also have some special promotions during the day. PRECorp is providing a charter bus for members to ride to the meeting with pickups at Sheridan, Buffalo, Gillette and Moorcroft. The event opens with registration at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, followed by lunch at 11 a.m. Farmer will perform at 12:30 p.m., followed by the meeting at 1:30 p.m. There will be numerous prize giveaways for attending members. The Farmers’ Almanac is one of the oldest and most respected publications in the country, and almanac spokesman Bob Farmer will entertain PRECorp members with his unique, down-home style of humorous storytelling. Farmer, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, has been characterized as a good mix between Jerry Clower and Garrison Keillor. Farmer’s presentation will inform, motivate and entertain PRECorp members as he laces his performance with anecdotes, remedies and a liberal dose of his unique humor. Powder River Energy Corporation is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric cooperative serving the five northeast counties of Wyoming including Campbell, Crook, Johnson, Sheridan and Weston. The electric cooperative has more than 160 employees and more than 12,100 members.
