1/29 Lucia & Moulton Falls (Battle Ground, WA) 4.6-rt/200 8 am - 4 pm Easy. Visit two falls in an old-growth forest with an arched bridge rising three stories over Big Tree Creek.
2/5 Bonneville - Cascade Locks (Cascade Locks) 5-1w/600 8 am - 4 pm Moderate. Travel parallel to the Columbia River & pass by Eagle Creek & its hatchery on the way to Cascade Locks. Experience impressive Gorge views by Tooth Rock.
2/12 Herman Creek - Wyeth Camp (OR Gorge) 5.3-1w/800 8 am - 4 pm Moderate. A stately forest of big leaf maple & Douglas fir provides quiet hiking on this rarely used trail. Travel over talus slopes with nice views of the Columbia River.
2/19 Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge (Ridgfield, WA) 5.8-rt/250 8 am - 4 pm Easy. Hike through wildlife habitat, including a large concentration of waterfowl. Bring waterproof boots as the trail can be very muddy.
2/26 Horsetail Falls to Triple Falls (OR Gorge) 4.5-rt/700 8 am - 4 pm Moderate. This delightful trial leads to a cavern behind Ponytail Falls & a look into a narrow canyon which is Oneonta Gorge as we travel to Triple Falls.
3/5 Starvation Creek Area (OR Gorge) 4.8-rt/300 8 am - 5 pm Moderate. Enjoy three Gorge waterfalls, starting at Starvation Creek Falls, then Hole-in- the-Wall Falls & Lancaster Falls. Beautiful views await from the base of Mt. Defiance.
3/12 Lower Deschutes River Trail (OR Gorge) 7-rt/500 8 am - 5 pm Moderate. This trail along a world renowned river passes whitewater rapids, canyon rimrock & offers a chance of viewing an eagle or an osprey & wildflowers.
3/19 Eagle Creek (OR Gorge) 6.6-rt/600 8 am - 4 pm Moderate. Enjoy this spectacular trail of cedars & mossy maple, yellow monkey flowers & maidenhair ferns. Pass three waterfalls & cross over a colossal Gorge bridge.
3/26 Silver Falls (Salem) 7-lp/600 8 am - 5 pm Moderate Wind through this beautiful forest canyon. Witness a shimmering silver curtain while passing behind three of the ten stunning waterfalls.
4/2 Gillette Lake (Cascade Locks) 5-rt/300 8 am - 4 pm Easy. Hike the PCT to Gillette Lake, passing the enormous landslide that sheared off Table Mt. 700 years ago.
