Inclement Weather Policy If the City of Portland public school districts (Portland Public, Parkrose, David Douglas, Reynolds, and Centennial) are closed because of weather conditions, PP&R classes and youth basketball in those school districts may be cancelled. We recommend that you check in with your community centers for the latest information about individual registered programs and activities. Some recreation programs may run as conditions and instructor availability allow. Decisions to operate on a specific site basis are made when it is determined that all programs may operate safely. Call the specific PP&R facility for information and opening/closing times.

HOW TO REQUEST INCLUSION SERVICES • Choose the activity you would like to participate in, and register for that class. • Contact Inclusion Services at 503-823-4333. • If this is your first time requesting accommodations through Inclusion Services, you will need to complete either a phone intake or an Accommodation Form that can be sent over email. This process is to help determine what level of accommodation needed for the participant. • Future assistance will be provided based on need. The inclusion staff will work with the instructor on how to support you and your individual needs. IMPORTANT DETAILS • A general program may be adapted using auxiliary aids and services, but the basic structure of the program remains the same. • Accommodations are made as needed and can be flexible, as well creative. • Participants need to register for activities that are intended for their birth age. • Personal care is provided for activities for individuals up to age 12. • For sign language interpreter please call 2 working days prior to the class • We request at least 10 working days’ notice prior to start of class. DROP-IN Bowling For Fun age 10 - adult

Have fun with your friends while knocking down pins. Beginners to advanced bowlers are welcome. Bring $5 for one game or $10 for two. To accommodate bowlers who wish to play every week & don’t want to hassle with bringing money each time, we offer a 20 game punch card for $100. Bowling begins at 3:00. Shoes are free. Monthly Dance age 16 - adult

Senior / Adaptive Swim

Come join us for Senior/ Adaptive Swim! You can use our warm water pool to swim laps, do your own exercises, walk with or against the current channel & use the whirl pool spa. It’s a great time to meet other seniors & have a quiet time to exercise. All adults & seniors are welcome with paid admission. 1 Lane Leisure Pool Pool supporting multiple programs Location East Portland Community Ctr 740 SE 106th Day/Time Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 1:00-2:00pm

Have fun dancing to a DJ or a band. Socialize with friends, both new & old. Refreshments are provided. Cost for participants is $5. Facility staff & parents get in free, but donations are kindly accepted to help with the cost. Group & foster home staff must stay to assist their participants in the dance unless prior arrangements have been made with AIR by calling 503-823-2883.

Daily destination camps explore different activities & locations around the Portland/Metro area. You can register for one of these camps or all, whatever you like! No additional money needed unless you would like some spending money. Recommended for participants who can stay with a group. Limited space available. Spend the day exploring the Oregon Coast. Weather permitting, we will be on the beach enjoying the sun or strolling the accessible boardwalk. Enjoy the view of the Pacific Ocean. Exploring the Oregon Zoo

Sea lions & Otters romp for your enjoyment in underwater viewing areas! Insects, amphibians, birds & mammals await your discovery! Bonneville Dam

Today’s adventures include a trip to the Washington side of Bonneville Dam & Fish hatchery! We will tour behind the scenes to watch for any salmon swimming upstream. Guide Dogs for the Blind Graduation

Attend a graduation ceremony at Guide Dogs for the Blind & tour the campus. Watch as they congratulate the efforts of students & their dogs over their past weeks in class. Only 1 hour in to our adventure, we will stop off to explore exhibits of our forest past. Then we are off to tour Oregon's famous Cheese Factory & learn how the cheese is made. Wolf Haven

The sanctuary in Tenino, WA has provided rescue for displaced, captive-born wolves, a few coyotes, foxes & wolf-dog hybrids. They promote wolf restoration & educate the public about the value of all wildlife. Tour the outdoor animal living areas & grounds. This is a 1 hour walking tour on hard-packed gravel, followed by an indoor movie "World of Wolves". Bring a snack & $15 for lunch at Subway. Trip fees includes admission. Dress for weather.
