He studied classical piano for several years and later taught himself to play the instrument by ear. He also plays guitar in a wide variety of styles. He has given individual music lessons to students of all ages for years. He loves helping students connect to their passion for music, build the skills and technique to play the songs they love, and understand the fundamentals of music for fun and performance. His current personal musical challenges are playing jazz on the guitar and improvising contemporary classical and fusion compositions on the piano.
