Delano Bay Christian Camp A Legacy of Christian Values Reaching to Eternity

Thank You!  Thank you to all our directors, counselors, teachers, nurses, cooks, dishwashers and other camp staff members who volunteered to serve out here at camp this summer. It takes a lot of sacrifice & hard work and it is appreciated!  A very special thanks to Randy Sprague (& friends), Keith Purser, Becky Purser, and Marshal Turner, for your help with mowing, repairing, and cleaning during our short transitions between camps. I think everyone noticed all our hard work! The camp still looks amazing!

DBCC Really Needs You!  We are still in need of picture frames to hang more camp pictures, brooms, & a small chain saw.  Delano Bay Christian Camp “Booster” Coupons have been “recreated” to encourage a monthly financial commitment to the camp. See your DBCC Board member for more information. Remember our Delano Legacy levels of giving:  Delano Legacy Silver provides funds for off season day to day upkeep & operations.  Delano Legacy Gold provides funds for full and/or part time staff. DBCC is trying to raise funds to hire another couple to help with the daily administrative & maintenance duties of the camp. Monthly support is needed to create a four person crew to share the many responsibilities of maintaining the camp. Don & Robin have found the physical work to be a great challenge, but would like to stay if these funds can be raised. The Board’s goal is to put this in place in 2014. Please consider a monthly donation to help us with this endeavor.  Delano Legacy Platinum provides funds to sustain DBCC’s long-term operations through estate planning & endowment.

Summer 2013 - STS, 1st & 2nd, and JTS The summer camp season has really kept us busy, so I decided to combine the July & August issues. Here are a few pictures of STS, JTS, and the 1st & 2nd Grade Camp. The theme for STS & JTS was “Press Play.” Ask one of your teens what this was all about! The 1st & 2nd graders had Christmas in July! Great fun! We had about 130 campers, four baptisms, and lots of encounters and activities! This is what it is all about! Watch for 3rd & 4th, 7th & 8th and 5th & 6th in September!
