Here and now…. Our newly refurbished centre was opened in March 2011. Some of you may remember the old building, we have come a long way since those days. Now much bigger, with disabled access, modern décor, but still with a community heart at it’s core. Read on to find out more about us and YOUR community centre. We hope you like what you find

Welcome to PWCA Parkwood Community Association was founded in 1977, some 35 years ago, to fulfil the needs of the fast growing Parkwood Estate. My how we’ve grown! Parkwood is now bigger than ever and our community centre has undergone massive changes to meet ever changing needs of our local residents. We were fortunate to be awarded Big Lottery Funding back in 2010. Combined with our own funding, this helped us to develop our new centre to become a unique and versatile building. We have even been put forward for The Kent Design Award 2012.

…. There’s still more

The Community Centre is operated by Parkwood Association. We have the added benefit of a member’s lounge bar and games room (run by Parkwood Social Club Ltd)

“View of the Main Hall”

The Association is a registered charity and run by volunteers. Full membership is available to all residents over 18, living within the Parkwood area. Associate Members who live outside Parkwood are also welcome too. Visit our website for membership and hall hire rates.
