Peruse the Internet or art history books for some of your favorite masterworks that have a person (subject) in them. Pick out several that you would like to try painting while still making them your own. I would suggest choosing one that challenges you just enough—not too much or too little. Pick one that moves you creatively and that you would enjoy working on. If you are searching online, print out copies from the Web.
