Valentino

ValentinoGlam SUMMER SANDALS came in different heights and the season’s winning colours, while the autumn collection promises even greater variety, with a wider choice for men.

THE BOUTIQUE has dedicated a whole section to the exclusive Valentino Garavani line of shoes, bags and accessories that bear the signature of this leading designer.

T

o offer you direct access to the striking style of this famed designer, the Four Seasons has dedicated a whole area of its Boutique on one side of the hall to the head-turning Valentino Garavani line – a complete haute collection of shoes, bags and leather accessories, just as they’ve been presented on the runways of Milan. Make no mistake: channelling the exclusive line to Cyprus was no easy task! Indeed, this blue-ribbon house usually insists on single brand outlets on the high streets of the world’s fashion capitals! So, what’s the Valentino proposition for this summer? Bags come in two sizes: extra large and extra small. Voluminous shoulder bags in unmistakable designs will hold almost anything you might need during the day, while shimmering evening clutch bags are fast disappearing from the shelves, as the summer party season picks Sandals too reflect a bias toward extremes, giving the ladies a choice of delicately elegant floor-flush thongs or shimmering patent leather platforms in colours ranging from glittering gold to fiery red and sophisticated black. Luxury belts, wallets and other small leather goods complete the line, with much more to come in autumn and of course, in anticipation of the year-end celebrations. n

Here at the Four Seasons this Cuban classic is a refined blend of Havana Club rum, an integral element to Cuba’s traditions and classic cocktails, poured over brown sugar and crushed lime, with sprigs of fresh mint leaves grown right here at home. L

imassol’s old quarter provides the perfect backdrop for its antique shops, by retaining remnants of the town’s history and tradition. Once a confectionery factory in the 1920s, a quaint Art Deco townhouse on Gladstonos Street now serves as Erma’s Auction House. Similarly, Avalonia Gallery,

houses its antiques in the most appropriate surroundings: a grandiose mansion of crumbling decadence along Eirinis Street, a stone’s throw from Limassol Castle. Portobello Antiques is situated within the hustle and bustle of the picturesque Ayiou Andreou Street, opposite Limassol’s Folk Art Museum. Scattered around Limassol’s narrow streets, among countless artisan workshops, these stores capture moments in history through a plethora of antiques: objects frozen in time.
