Cutter bar Quality made in Austria First-class cutting quality, low drag resistance and stability are the trademarks of PÖTTINGER mowers. Here, the NOVACAT cutter bar has a central function for high quality forage. These have been designed and manufactured exclusively in Austria.

Best crop flow Clean forage Smooth bar base with rounded skids

The slanted leading edge of the cutter bar allows the earth to flow down and separate itself cleanly from the crop. The contoured shape of the conical mower discs increases the effect of the paddles on crop flow, lowering the drag resistance of the mower.

Perfect chop length The cutter blades revolve at a short distance from the top of the bar and counter blade. The optimised overlap of blade paths ensures a clean and uniform slicing pattern.

Top quality Long service life The cutter bar is made from the best quality steel. With laser and welding robots, the sheets are cut, welded, and processed to 100% accuracy at the state-of-the-art CNC machinery processing centre. Heavy-duty, twin brace angular contact bearings guarantee the best absorption of impacts. All gear wheels are case hardened and ground. Compact transport For transport, the mower is swung upwards and set at an inclined position of 115°. This ensures a lower transport height, and the centre of gravity is ideally placed behind the tractor. At the same time, you have a full view of the exterior mirrors at the rear.

Maintenance is child’s play The front and side protectors can be flipped up and provide both easy and safe access to the cutter bar. Therefore you save time when changing blades and this also facilitates both maintenance and cleaning work.

TopTech plus – Combining the tried and tested with the new PÖTTINGER offers a cam track diameter of 16.53" / 420 mm and a bearing spacing of 23.62" / 600 mm on the tine arms on the TOP 722 and 27.55" / 700 mm on the TOP 812. These properties give the tine arms maximum stability with minimum stress on the arm bearings. You can adjust the cam track for different quantities of forage and changing harvesting conditions without steps. The entire rotor unit is encapsulated dust-tight. The rotor transmission therefore runs in a sealed grease bath. If damaged, you can replace the entire tine arm carriers both simply and easily. Just undo two bolts to slide the control shaft and the cam roller out of the rotor casing.

The combination of feed rollers, exact chopped length with the flywheel and corn cracker guarantees top quality material and a maximum nutrient yield. The corn cracker can be removed quickly for use on grass. The disc wheel system has enormous casting and blowing capabilities. The blades are adjusted centrally to the ideal cutting clearance and a Wolfram-carbide coating provides a long service life.

TECHNOLOGY IN DETAIL Improved mixing effect ƒ The lightly curved guide plates mix the flow of earth from the side – an intensive rolling movement without flinging earth up into the frame. ƒ The outer tines are fitted with edge guide plates.

Maintenance-free levelling discs ƒ The serrated levelling discs flatten the flow of soil. They are guided by the rear roller and adjusted together in parallel; they can also be depth-adjusted in pairs. ƒ A six-lip labyrinth seal provides completely tight protection for the ball bearings on the disc. As a result the bearing is completely maintenance-free.

Rear rollers – It’s your choice Cage roller The cage roller is ideal for dealing with dry, non clay-based soils. The roller is equipped with strong bars to provide the best packing effect. 21.25" / 540 mm diameter with 11 bars, 25.98" / 660 mm diameter with 12 bars.

Double cage roller The double cage roller provides you with two different diameter rollers (21.25" / 540 mm front and 16.53" / 420 mm rear). They are mounted with a freedom of movement to deliver optimum ground tracking and crumbling effect.

Knife ring roller The knife ring roller features wedge-shaped rings (23.62" / 600 mm diameter) for improved crumbling and packing effect. The knives between the rings break up clods and also clean the spaces between the rollers. The corrugated consolidation effect has the advantage that water can be better absorbed. The right choice, if you work with dry, heavy soil.

Pack ring roller The packer rings, which are closed on the sides, have a diameter of 21.62" / 550 mm. There are eight rings per metre of working width. The roller leaves corrugated stripes to promote water absorption and allow the soil to breathe. The ideal roller for when the ground is rocky and wet, and where high levels of organic matter are present.

Roto pack roller Roto pack rollers mix particularly intensively – for light to heavy, non-sticky soils. Harvest trash remains on the surface and protects the soil from drying out (for working width of only up to 9.84" / 3.0 m).

Rubber packer roller The perfect roller is ideal for widely varied ground conditions. Especially for use with trailed implements where the load-bearing capacity of other rollers is near the limit. A diameter of 23.22" / 590 mm and the special profiling allows the soil to be compacted in rows.
