Langley Councilman Hal Seligson holds up a piece of blown-glass that was presented to him by Mayor Fred McCarthy during Monday’s council meeting for his years of service to the city. Appointed to fill a vacancy in 2010, it was Seligson’s last meeting as he did not seek reelection in November. McCarthy said Seligson leaves behind a legacy for the leading work he did on the creation of a code of ethics for city workers and elected officials. Seligson said he was proud of the work but also thanked the public for the trust it placed in him and for the chance to serve.
