Letter from your Lieutenant Governor
Hello Division 72 Key Clubbers! September brings us, unfortunately, to the end of summer, but it also brings both an end to the smoky weather than has been hurting the Valley and also the start of an exciting new year of Key Club! This September is quite possibly the busiest part of the Key Club year, with officer training and club visits on the horizon. I aim to visit each of your clubs this month, and I look forward to seeing all of you! I am delighted to say that Division 72 now has a new mascot— the kangaroo! We will soon be holding a contest to design divisional merchandise for use at DCON, volunteer events and to build spirit in general. September also brings a couple important announcements at the international level. The PNWOF application, due on October 31, is great for clubs that have a great idea for a volunteer project but lack the funds to do it. The Membership Campaign, which will be officially announced on the 15th, gives clubs resources to boost member involvement and growth. Let’s hit our membership target! I am also delighted to announce our first divisional DCM, which will be a beach cleanup held on October 1! More information will be later in the newsletter, and I look forward to seeing you all there! Above all, I look forward to working with all of you during this academic year, and let’s make it a great one!
In love and service,
Lieutenant Governor, Division 72 Pacific Northwest District Key Club International Phone: (541)-209-6461 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org

PROJECT ELIMINATE With The Eliminate Project, Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. Neonatal tetanus kills one baby every 11 minutes—nearly 49,000 newborn children every year. A significant number of women also die due to maternal tetanus. The effects of the disease are excruciating—tiny newborns suffer repeated, painful convulsions and extreme sensitivity to light and touch. We need your help to provide vaccines, resources, and education for these communities!
