District’s Project What is this year’s project?

This year, our district project is the Eliminate

Project. Join us in the effort to eliminate maternal neonatal tetanus throughout the globe.

What is MNT? In 28 countries around the world, maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) can quickly turn the joy of childbirth into tragedy. MNT kills one baby every nine minutes. Its effects are excruciating — tiny newborns suffer repeated, painful convulsions and extreme sensitivity to light and touch. There is little hope of survival. And tetanus kills mothers too. As of March, 2014, the PNW District rasied$80,000!

PNW Goal: $24,000 Kiwanis International Goal: $110 Million WE DID IT! The Pacific Northwest District has raised over 3x the amount of our original goal for the Eliminate Project. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this project. We will continue to support Project Eliminate until MNT has been removed from every country.

District Update Hello there! This is a bit of information on DCON: The 65th Annual PNW DCON has ended! We know, it's a bittersweet feeling. This year the convention took place for the first time ever at the Sheraton Hotel and the Seattle Convention Center located in the heart of Downtown Seattle. The Convention featured speakers such as Redlight Traffic, Rustic Pathways, and much more! During DCON, the new Executives were elected, the Incoming LtGs were officially installed, and the outgoing Board Members were retired. All of Seattle boomed with the spirit of over 1,700 Key Clubbers during the weekend. In the end, it was Division 13/15/17 from Canada that won the spirit stick during the Opening Ceremony and Division 65 from Oregon was awarded the spirit stick during the awards ceremony!

What is DCON? DCON is short for District Convention. Each year, the Pacific Northwest District gets together to celebrate the year of service, elect the new executive district board, meet other Key Clubbers in the area, and learn about new service opportunities. Ask your club officers or Lieutenant Governors for more information! New District Board? (from left to right) Lisa Antonio, Ik Hoon Jung, Aneesh Pappu, Jenny Zhang

Dues So I have been getting a lot of question on Dues well here is a step by Step way to do them! 1. Go to www.KeyClub.org 2. Go to dues and reports 3. Go to Membership update center! 4. Resister for the system and click - have your faculty advisor email on the registration 5. Then they will send you a password in a few days which then you will login 6. Export to excel your able to get all your members on an excel worksheet! 7. Go to Finances  You need all the name, email of each members in the club to pay 8. You will print out the 2 receipts ---One for your club Finances and then send then send the second one with dues check and send them to international! *If you have any more question please contact me*
