 E-commerce is a thriving business. But I see that there are too many online companies that have difficulty getting traction. Research the basics of e-commerce business  Starting the research is the first critical step. Do not operate in the hunch. Developing any online business is an investment. Treat it like this.  Before deciding what to sell online, you need to understand the different business models available.  This is not rocket science, but it does affect your business structure.  My focus is on physical products, but that doesn’t mean you need a lot of money or a product in the garage. How will you purchase products and inventory management?  Direct investment is a wise choice if you want to profit without touching the product or investing heavily in the first place.  Then with the subscription, you can carefully plan a set of products or individual products and deliver them to your customers on a regular basis.


Launch e-commerce niche research  It makes me very painful when people send me e-commerce sites via email and it’s full of hundreds of products, dozens of categories and no real attention.  Unless you have a huge budget, you can’t be the next Best Buy or Amazon. You need a niche to run a profitable e-commerce store.Choosing your niche is the most important step in doing business online. Start this process by identifying successful companies that have worked in this area.  Ensuring that the region is competitive – lack of competition usually indicates no market.  But don’t choose an overcrowded niche market and don’t choose what dominates the dominant brand. If you encounter this problem, please dive deeper into what you want to do – the more specific you are, the less competition you may face.


Role and product selection  Now that you have identified a niche and business model, you may start looking for products that you can sell.  do not. Consider the persona before considering product ideas. If you don’t know who you are selling, you can’t expect people to buy your product. Who are you? What does the store stand for? Who is your ideal customer? You need to project a consistent brand  image (a journey that begins with your brand name). An organic seed company that started selling traditional fertilizers will not last long.  Once you have identified the image you want to project and the customer you are catering to, you should come up with product ideas. I recommend from the start – you will reduce your investment in the first place, and if you want to provide more, you can test the waters through affiliate marketing.
