Book blitz

Rain or snow doesn’t matter if you have a good book and music to keep you company. The Friends of the Library are holding a one-day-only book blitz and CD sale. All books are $5 a bag (bag provided). CDs and DVDs are individually priced. Book blitz is Nov. 3 at the Chilliwack Library from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Chilliwack at Chances Legendary Canadian rockers Chilliwack rock the grand opening of Chances Chilliwack on Nov. 2. This marked the first time a western Canadian team made it to the Worlds (teams from eastern Canada had qualified in the past), and the Canadian team danced their way to a record 32 medals, tying for first place with Poland.

Craft fair The Robertson elementary 2012 Craft Fair takes place Nov. 1 from 5 to 9 p.m. Admission is $2 or a canned food donation. Children are free. There will be a kids craft table, concession and a photographer to take pictures of the kids with Santa, along with more than a dozen vendors selling a variety of products including Christmas gift baskets, Christmas ornaments, knitted and crocheted items, fabric wheat bags, quilts, reversible shopping bags, baby blankets, pillow cases, homemade fudge, candies and more.
