SCHREDER, Robert Daniel (Bob) Jul 14, 1923 - May 16, 2012 Bob was born and raised in Southern Saskatchewan. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Alice (Wick). In 1953, they relocated from his parent’s homestead to Burnaby. He began his career with Scott Paper at that time and retired in 1985. They continued to call this area home and settled into Thornebridge Gardens in 2007. Bob was pre-deceased by his siblings Malcolm and Muriel; and son-in-law Randy Tirk. In addition to his wife Alice, he leaves behind their children Barry (Linda), Carol Tirk and Wade (Shannon); grandchildren Jodi Drake (Jol), Jared, Marty, Cory, Danby and Jamie; great-grandchildren Chelsea and Owen Drake; sisters-in-law Norma Lohse and Mary Wick; brother-in-law Sam Bendickson; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, greatnieces and great-nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at Centennial Lodge in Queen’s Park, New Westminster. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice.
