THE HISTORY OF HORIZON
HORIZON is located in the historic heart of Palm Springs. Originally, the gracious Adobe building was built in the 1930’s as a lodge for visitors traveling along the Bradshaw Trail connecting San Bernardino and Yuma, Arizona. In the 1950s, the property expanded as 40 bungalows were built around the Adobe to create the Villa Hotel. Today as a residence for active adults, HORIZON continues to welcome residents with the hospitality that Palm Springs is famous for. Featuring desert-modern architecture characterized by clean simplicity, open floor plans and integration with nature, the property offers ample windows, natural light and indoor and outdoor living. Surrounded by palm trees, lush vegetation, and eternally blue skies, Horizon looks and feels like a resort.
