' After looking over and debating on several suggested lo· cations for a public access area on Lake Ohop, the Game department finally chose a site at the lower end of the lake which is being purchased by Al Carlson of Point Ohop resort. While Mr. Carlson was up here from California. on a visit over the. 4th of July, he released and signed his interest in the property over to the Game department for a public access area.

Thirty-five varieties of hybrid tea roses, floribunda roses, and climoer roses were planted this spring. Some.of the.popular patented hybrid teas to be seen are Happiness, Diamond Jubilee, Peace, Taffeta, Fantasia, and Sleigh Bells.

This location will enable the Game department _to control the outlet and.they are planning on putting in a revolving screen which will make for much better fishing in Ohop lake. This will involve considerable ex· pense but one can rest assu_red that it will· be well done and worth it, and that heavier plants of trout each year can then be expected.
