PLASTICS EXPORT, BY PANEL In May 2018, products grouped under plastic raw materials witnessed year-on-year growth of 64.6%; followed by plastic sheet, film, plates etc (+29.9%); packaging materials (+24.6%); optical items (+21.2%); stationery/office/school supply (+13.0%); human hair, products thereof (+7.6%); and moulded & extruded goods (+0.9%). PLASTICS EXPORT, BY REGION India’s plastics export in May 2018 were particularly boosted by higher exports to North-East Asia (up 176.1% year-on-year), South Asia (+61.2%), ASEAN + 2 (+29.8%), Middle East (+27.9%), Commonwealth of Independent States (+21.0%), European Union (+19.3%), North America (+16.9%), Africa (+16.6%), and Latin America & Caribbean (+9.6%).
