THE CHIPOLATAS The Chipolatas specialise in crafting and creating magical and mindful musical circus shows. Capturing the classic elements of all round entertainment, they are accompanied by live dynamic roots music, break beats, ballads, sound-bites and samples. Highly skilled and internationally acclaimed, since 1992 they have performed in 45 countries and are delighted to be appearing at this years’ Playford Fringe!

Sharon from Canada presents: Tallulah and the ladder of Men Sharon from Canada” is your typical Canadian; friendly, polite, patriotic, apologetic and slightly repressed. Being an ambassador for such a exciting nation comes with its own strains. Every now and then, she is overcome by the feeling that there must be more to life. With a “little” help from the audience, she revamps into her more uninhibited counterpart; the one, the only, Miss Tallulah! Join her on her hilarious travels through passion, acceptance and liberation.

STRONG LADY The world of the Strong Lady is filled with dazzling contrasts: muscle and grace, beauty and brute strength, lifting the hearts of the audience and... well... lifting the audience! A genuine strong woman, Betty Brawn presents an elegant array of feats of strength: she breaks things, lifts men overhead as if they were feathers and gives your laughing muscles a workout. You will walk away smiling from this wholehearted celebration of femininity and strength.

ABLE MABEL This comedy character show wins over audiences worldwide. Mable’s warm effortless charm, and funny, heart warming sense of humour shine through. Able Mable is a showgirl with a flare for the dramatic and the ridiculous. She attempts to escape from handcuffs and looses half her costume in the process. She wields a whip skilfully as she attempts to pop a balloon, accidentally magics things away and uses tape to fix her props whilst tangling herself and her volunteer up in it.

STREET ART EXPLOSION: Commemorative Art Mural ELIZABETH CITY CENTRE FREE

Playford has added a new addition to its street art landscape with an iconic tribute to GM Holden community and its people at the Elizabeth City Centre. Australian artist, Cam Scale, known for his most recent work on the Kimba silos, designed the artwork with support from former Holden and supply chain workers. Scale also had the opportunity to mentor South Australian emerging artist, Sam Brooks, further strengthening the City’s participation and engagement in the Arts. The commemorative piece spans across 40 metres of the shopping centre’s northern entrance. This commemorative mural is a partnership project between the City of Playford, the Department of State Development, Arts SA, Elizabeth City Centre, Adelaide Fringe and GM Holden.
