Join CRPA and Fork in the Road the third Friday of April, May and June for a food truck event meant to bring our community together. Enjoy delicious food and treats while visiting with neighbors, listening to music and more! Food trucks will rotate week to week showcasing a variety of foods! The Recreation Center has parking as well as a pavilion along with additional tables/chairs. Seats may be limited so bring a blanket and chairs!! Credit/Debit cards accepted.

Open Gym The Recreation Center Gym is available for open play when no program or rental is scheduled. Call prior to your visit for open gym hours. The fees for open gym are $2 each day for adults and $1 each day for children ages 12 and under. Advisory Board A Recreation Advisory Board has been appointed by the Board of Commissioners to act as a guide for CRPA in planning and implementation of public recreational activities and programs as well as offering advice on a system of parks and facilities that will accommodate the needs of the public. Board members’ terms run concurrent with appointing Board of Commissioners. Photograph/Video Policy On occasion, CRPA may photograph or videotape registrants, participants, and spectators in Agency programs, special events, or facilities. Such photographs are for Agency use only and may be used in publications, brochures, pamphlets, flyers, websites or video productions.

Water Safety Week at the Oasis- June 19-23 The Cherokee County Aquatic Center wants to spread water safety knowledge and we want you to be a part of it! There will be games, activities, and fun throughout the week! **All Pool rules apply. A daily admission fee is required for all people entering the facility. ** Monday: Pool Rules Day!

If you cancel a session 11 or more days prior to the first class, you can receive a refund less the $5 processing fee. You may also choose to move the payment to the next session of your choice and the processing fee will be waived. If you cancel a class session within 10 days of the first class you will be offered a 50% refund. (If the class has already begun, you will also be prorated for any classes that have occurred.) To request a refund, you must fill out a refund request form at the Aquatic Center Front Desk.

SAFETY CLASSES ARC Lifeguard Class‐ Blended Learning Ages: 15 years or older Min/Max: 6/12 Cost: $200
This class will provide you with an American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR for Professional Rescuer, Nationally recognized Certification. You must be 15 years of age by the last day of class and be able to complete the following skills on the first day to be able to continue the class: swim 300 yds. Continuously, tread water for two minutes legs only, and retrieve 10lb. brick from 7 ft of water. Students must attend every day of class, and be on time to class, and pass all exams to become certified.
For this class you will need to come prepared to swim every day, and be on the floor for training. Please bring a packed lunch or you may purchase food at our concessions stand. Blended learning will have about 7 hours of online learning that students will need to start before the first day of class.
This class is in shallow water, high intensity cardio, and strength low impact workout that is fast paced and set to Latin style music.

Fall Season 2017 Cherokee Youth Lacrosse is a recreational youth lacrosse program for players in Cherokee County. Fall 2017 Lacrosse will include practice two days per week (Bantam and above) and 6 regular season games. All practices and home games will take place at JJ Biello Riverside Athletic Complex or other county parks as necessary. All away games will take place at other parks within the Metro Atlanta area. Little LAXers will practice and play on Saturdays at a set time at JJ Biello Riverside Athletic Complex or other parks as necessary. All players will receive a reversible jersey and shorts. 1st Day of Practice: Opening Day: Twin Creeks Softball Complex is the home park for CYS, but any CRPA facility may be used if necessary for practice/games. All dates, days, times, leagues are subject to change due to inclement weather and/or number of players/teams. SUMMER CAMPS CRPA FISHING CAMP Campers will learn the basics of fishing including knot tying, how to bait a hook, what types of bait to use, safety measures, and how to handle and care for the fish they catch. They will also learn new strategies, tactics, advanced knot tying, and much more. Campers will fish for catfish, bass, bream, crappie, and trout by taking field trips to new locations each day. CRPA will provide ALL fishing equipment needed (rod, reel, tackle, bait, etc.). Campers will have the opportunity to fish private and public waters and a chance to catch the fish of a lifetime. On Friday, the camp staff will provide lunch with either a cookout or fish fry along with an awards presentation for all campers. A calendar of events will be given on the first day of camp or as soon as camp destinations are confirmed. Each child should also bring a snack, a lunch, and plenty of fluids to drink each day. Campers must wear closed toe shoes and bring plenty of sunscreen. They will be dropped off and picked up at the pavilion behind the Recreation Center each day. In an effort for all young anglers to enjoy the experience, we are not able to accept camper(s) for more than one week (e.g., John Doe may register for week 1 or week 2 but not both) *Registration begins April 17th at 9:00am online or in person at the Recreation Center. K.A.O.S. CAMP For the thirteenth summer, CRPA is offering K.A.O.S. Camp! This exclusive camp is designed for those that have special needs and want a place to hang out over the summer. There will be a 3:1 ratio of experienced counselors and staff to the participants, and we will go on three field trips weekly. Other activities include arts and crafts, exploring our parks, swimming, bowling, and laser tag, just to name a few. Children need to bring a lunch and two snacks daily, unless noted otherwise on schedule. Most importantly, kids will experience independence while being surrounded by peers their own age. No before or extended care will be offered for K.A.O.S. camp. REGISTRATION INFORMATION General Information Registration begins Monday, May 1 2017 for most programs, unless otherwise noted. Early registration is not permitted. Registration can be completed online (for most programs) or in person at the Recreation or Aquatic Center. Returned checks are subject to a $35 fee. A transaction fee is charged on ALL debit/credit card purchases. Registration is taken during normal business hours at the Recreation Center. Registration and Pass sales are available from 9am to 30 minutes prior to close at the Aquatic Center. When paying in cash, please have the correct amount. Cancellation Policy All classes not meeting minimum enrollment will be postponed or canceled. Program minimums are five (5) participants unless otherwise noted. If your class is cancelled, you will be notified. Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment, inclement weather or instructor availability. A full refund will be given for cancellation of classes. Credit/Refund Information All refund/credit requests must be completed in person during regular business hours. Refund/credit requests must be completed at least five (5) working days prior to the beginning date of the program. Refund/credit requests must be in writing and are subject to approval by the Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency staff. Refunds may take up to 30 days for processing. There are No Cash Refunds. Participants requesting a refund will be charged a $5 administrative fee. Family Discount Family discounts may be offered for some programs Music Together may vary by session Scholarship Program A family or individual can apply for a scholarship one time per calendar year (1/1‐12/30). Some restrictions DO apply. Applications must be received five (5) business days prior to the end registration date. Call 770‐924‐7768 for details and applications. Registration Requirements All children ages 4 and over registering for programs that do not allow for parental supervision must continent. If the participant requires any special accommodations, the ADA Compliance Coordinator is required to be notified within fifteen (15) business days prior to the beginning of the program in order to attempt to accommodate. Age and gender requirements can be found under the program descriptions on each page. Participants (or their parents or guardians) must sign waiver/release form prior to participation in any program. Payment received after the second class may be subject to a $5 late fee.
